OPR marriage 1741 Irvine

Hi All. I hope somebody can decipher the following. And from my reading of the entry did they have to pay 8 marks for something then get it back the following year. Does anybody know anything about this

John Campell wig maker in Kil** his 2nd marriage and Elizabeth Boyd in the parish of Irvine from whence she produced a  **   **  and were booked on Saturday 11 July 1741 and consigned eight marks of  **  and after orderly proclamtion three several Sabbaths were married at Irvine on Thurs Aug 7th 1741 by Mr Mc**  ** there and got up their ** May 25 1742

This one has me a little puzzled
