Family of John and Sarah Sullivan
« on: Wednesday 22 December 04 20:41 GMT (UK) »
Researching family of my gg grandparents John & Sarah Sullivan of Rosefield Cottage in Leswalt and later Glebe St, Stranraer. They married circa 1862 and had the following children:

Daniel George (my ggrandfather)
Sarah
Catherine, born 1868, married Michael McCann in 1908
John, born 1869
Jane (possibly Jean)  born 1870, married James Kilroy in 1907 at Stranraer
Williah Durham born 1876, married Jeannie Stuart Hardy at Kilbirnie in 1906
Margaret born 1879, married James Taylor 1911
Mary born 1880
Frances born 1887, died 1961
Mary born 1885

If any of these names ring a bell, I'd be glad to hear from you. My grandfather corresponded with his cousins regularly, but he has been gone for 30 years and none of his children kept up any links

I'm also researching the line of Margaret Sullivan and James Martin Taylor. They are my Great grandparents making John Sullivan and Sarah Mae (May?) my great-great grandparents.
Margaret Sullivan and James Taylor moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania before my grandmother Frances Taylor was born in 1912. I don't have much info on this line. My Great Uncle visited Scotland to do some research and the info I have is from him. He also spoke of the Rose cottage that you mentioned.
Thanks,
Liz
