Would they be in Aberystwyth, do you think?

I'd love to read the details, as they are ancestors of mine.

If I could also find out whose wedding was taking place it might help to make sense of why they caused such a commotion!

Many thanks,

Bev.

Ambrose; Llandilofawr, Pennsylvania.
Grindley; Llandilofawr, Ohio, Louisiana, Washington DC.
Rees(e); Pennsylvania.
Lewis, Llandilofawr.

To reply to my own question, yes the records were in Aberystwyth.  ;D

They didn't help much, very repetitive and not much detail.  :'(

Thanks,

Bev.

Does anyone have any ancestry linked to Thomas and Margaret Anthony 1820 ish births and their daughter Elizabeth Anthony and her son Jacob from Tynewydd, Llanegwad? Last found on 1911 Census. We think Margaret's maiden name was Ambrose.

Hi arwela, welcome to Rootschat.
Margaret is in my tree as daughter of David Thomas Ambrose (Occupation; Carpenter) born before 19th Feb 1787 at Llanfynnydd and died before 10th April 1867 at "Court Henry Mountain" Llanegwad and his wife Anne (nee Davies) born about 1790 at Llanegwad, married 15th May 1815 at Llanegwad and died before 21st December 1870 at Llanegwad.

I have a daughter Anne Ambrose for Margaret Ambrose, born before 7th Feb 1840 at "Pantyblodau" Llanegwad and died before 13th Feb 1840 at "Cwmdyllan" Llanegwad.

Margaret married Thomas Anthony 8th August 1842.
Margaret was one of 6 children but as she is not in my direct line (her sister Elizabeth is my direct ancestor), I haven't looked into her any further.

Hope that helps a bit.

B.  :)
