   Hi Jan.....

 Have been following the children who all move from the area to London. They marry under variuos spellings ...surprise surprise... from Boston to Bosting. Have found Edith's death as well so just need to wrap up John's birth.

Little Francis in 41 must have died as there is younger Francis with John in 1861, I can see an 1853 death for a Francis Bostin in Ampthill district which I assume is him but cannot see him in 1851

  Hi JAN....

  Yes that must be the one as I have the other Francis in 1881 giving birth of around 1853.
 What is interesting is they have an adopted son William Robinson age 2 with them. His sister Edith Elizabeth married a Robinson in 1878...I thought I had found them indexed as Bassane..( thread on census discussions & lookups) now not sure...

     The Bassane family was not the one I wanted so I now have to work out if Edith Elizabeth has died by 1881.

As you know, my wife is also descended from the Underwood family; so I'd be glad to see the new information you've found out about them, as you have mentioned above! Sorry I don't have anything new to share.
