McGilvray/Mclean

Hello everyone,

I was hoping someone could help me with information on
John McGilvray and his wife Isabella McLean.
They were married in Kilfinichen & Kilvichen,Argyll November 1862.

I'm trying to find John and Isabella (as children) with their parents
on any census.  I've got so confused I can't see the forest for the trees 
John was born abt 1830 and Isabella at 1835.

(I guess when I find them I have to go looking for their children next
Oh how I wish my seniors moments were less frequent.  I might get somewhere with
my research. )

Wow! Thank you for all your help.

Down-under -  The 1851 census address Torrans farm you listed seems
it might be the one I'm looking for.  Isabella's daughter married John Macdiamid.
Do you have a complete list of all the people at the address?

Also the 1841 address Bunessan might be John.  The names listed seem to follow the names I
have for the family in later years.

Any advice on where I could get all the details from the census would be appreciated.

I have taken these census off Ancestry for which I am a member. You will have to go to Scotlandpeople I think and pay to view the census pages themselves to see the correct family positions.
