urgent help need to trace a grave for morrison

can anyone help

i need to find the grave of alexander morrison of langholm  his wife was called janet irving

the family have come to a toal stand still we cant find the grave we can't find where alexander was born all we have his is marriage date

can anyone else tell me if i send for his marriage cert  will it give me much info

also where do  i go to find out if alex and janet had more children as yet we only have one  and we think there are more

any help or advice would be most helpful

What can you give US in the way of dates, as each era will have differing records.

What date for example was the marriage?

a wee look at the 1901 census says that here is a 9 year old alexander born 1892 langholm, he is livng in henry street.

alexander was born around1775 we not sure were

he married janet irving in langholm  17 jun 1798

we know they had one son james morrison

but thats it
