Hi.
Cavendish Street is off the Falls Road, just passed the Springfield road junction, directly facing the Royal Victoria Hospital.
No 10 district is in the Finaghy Road area, further up the Falls Road. In those dates that area would more than likely been a rural area.
Check the 1901 census for the area at,

Hi Mona.
You can get Belfast street directories at the address below.
                www.lennonwylie.co.uk/

It's a site well worth visiting.
I was unable to find Cavendish St., or Engine St., mentioned on it.  Engine Street is a street I have never heard of before.

The Belfast Family History site covers West Belfast, as far as I know, but may have expanded their range since I last used it.

Jean McCarthy's site has a list of Streets and Wards which will give you a clue as to where these streets are.

Curious to know if the District No.  system is still being used in Belfast ?  It was Engine Place ( rather than Street) How far away was the  District No.6 from the District  No.10 ?   Thanks

Hi mona lisa.
Ignore my info about the district numbers. I don't think the numbers in this directory relate to the dates you are researching. Tried to find out about district numbers with no luck. Sorry for the misleading info.
