Alexander Tait Ship Master

This Alexander Tait (born 1786) was born in Peetonweene and married Janet Gourley in 1803.  I have traced him via the cencuses and have all? of his children.  I have no information about his career as a sailor, I have found and enquiry probably about him sailing to Australia and having a relation, maybe brother, called William.

Has anyone any information on him?

Thanks I'll try that, although he did spend around 50 years of his life in Port of Glasgow
