Another Mackay related to a Mackay problem.....Sorry folks
« on: Tuesday 16 October 07 23:58 BST (UK) »
I have an Archibald Ramsay married to an Elizabeth Mackay on 15/6/1900.
(In Plantation District of Glasgow)
Elizabeth being previously married to a Hugh Mackay (no other details yet).
Elizabeth's father listed as John Mackay (fisherman)
" "          mother listed as Marion Mackay who is given as being a spinster yet also listed as being previously married to a William Mackay.
All info thus far from cert No/ 646/01 0054 marriage as noted above.

My father tells of family being resident in Tongue/Melness area for a while.
Believes William died young at sea. ( There is a minor records death at sea for a William aged 22 in 1893 ) but no image available 023/MR 0911

Is there anything from what I've listed that could lead to more info on this particular Mackay clan ?
I've been unable to narrow search sufficiently on ScotlandsPeople site to get a certainty.
Any ideas on how to proceed ?

Hello

Unfortunately at present I only know what I've already mentioned (may have been a joiner).
I'm afraid I can't get my head round these Mackay's yet.
Do you have any Hugh married to an Elizabeth Mackay ?
