I was wondering if you found any connection with your Evans family and any Owen name. My gg grandfather Hugh Owen lived and died at 30 Baker Street Holyhead in 1902. Hugh and his wife Margaret died in their 30's of TB. When my grandfather, also Hugh, died he left word that his mother was Elizabeth Evans. I do know that isn't correct, as Margaret Jones was his mother. I was thinking perhaps an Evans stepped in to take care of the children as they were all  relatively young. Elizabeth may have been the only mother my grandfather knew. I can't seem to ID this mystery woman.

Thanks,

Rich

I would  doubt that the  Elizabeth Evans your grandfather knew  was   the same  as mine. Now I maybe  wrong  but   Elizabeth Evans  moved  away from Holyhead  to Liverpool  and  the  married  an man named  Roberts  in 1904. So theres  an 2 year windo of oppertunity but I think the possibility  slim as  she had  5  children at least 3 of  which were under 10  in 1902.  Lots of Luck  with the  research

Just found out that  20 Baker Street Holyhead was  an old  family address . And  thus  it  well maybe possible that  ELIZABETH EVANS   that ws  know to your family  was my great grandmother . But I just learnt that this was where Edward Evans  Elizabeths  husband  d 1899  grew up.
               Lots of luck

Paul,

Knowing that your great grandmother moved to Liverpool in 1904 makes me doubt that she is the Elizabeth Evans that I'm looking for. My great grandfather died in 1902 and my great grandmother in 1903. My grandfather would have mentioned that he lived in Liverpool if he moved with Elizabeth.

At the very least our families knew each other being only a few houses away from each other.

Thanks for your help.
