Trying to find some Answers completed

would love to find when 4x grandfather George Branscomb died he had been ill from about 1812 but it is not until 1828 his wife Mary is referred to as a widow in Hastings Any chance of finding out that info

Burial records for Sussex are very good with good coverage.

George was a mariner?

He may have been dead as early as 1815.  There are references to Mary, wife of George on the catalogues database site:

Hi Nell thanks for your time I do have that plus another printout from the parish record and it does have George applying for tax relief march 1816 as he was ill so maybe he did die around that time Mary did have her 1st base born child in 1815 then in 1817 and 1821 and in May 1828 she applies for clothing and thats the first ref to her being a widow but that may not mean anything i guess. George was born in Devon maybe he left her and went back there.
