I don't think that is the same person in 1881 - there appears to be two .. ..

Have a look at this:

Marriage Jun qtr 1886
Daniel Wadsworth
Caroline Stratford
Huddersfield, Vol 9a, page 550

Then there's this .. ..

http://www.rootschat.com/links/024h/

I'm just about to see if Elizabeth Wadsworth died too?

Also I'm struggling to find Clara in 1891?  ::) ;D ::)

The 1881 you posted definitely isn't the correct Daniel because the one born in 1853 is still living with wife Mary in 1891.

According to the census returns one was born c.1852/3 and the other c.1856/7 both in Barkisland.

possible ..

Marriage, Jun qtr, 1877
Daniel Wadsworth
Elizabeth Stansfield
Huddersfield, Vol 9a, page 447

There must be an explanation but what?  :-\

Dan aged 18 in 1871 married Mary and stayed married, at least until after the 1891 census!  :D

Marriage, Mar qtr 1874
Dan Wadsworth
Mary Bottomley
Huddersfield, Vol 9a, page 447

Daniel married your great aunt Clara, but before that he was married to Caroline. He was also possibly married to Elizabeth before Caroline.  :)
