Can you be more specific about what you're looking for. Names, dates etc

What information do you already have? No point in us ploughing through every census if you've already got it.

There's a few names (extracted so reliable) in Odell on the IGI which is easiest to access via http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~hughwallis/IGIBatchNumbers/CountryEngland.htm#PageTitle

I am currently back to the following:

Thomas Norman (b 1748) married to Hannah Paine with daughters Susan (b 1793), Cressy (b 1796), Priscilla (b 1797), Martha (b 1798) & Hannah (b 6 May 1802) all in Odell

I have information on children of Priscilla but no further info on her parents & sisters.

Thi is a fascinating part of my family tree and am looking to add to this section or bring other branches down towards today.

regards

Peter

Does the 1791 marriage entry give any details - witnesses, parishes of residence etc? As the entries on the IGI are all member submissions, which I never trust, does it actually exist?

Thomas Norman doesn't appear in the 1803 Muster List for Odell, which tends to confirm his birth being before 1748 as the muster only covered men between the ages of 17 and 55.

The Odell Parish Record has marriage on Dec 14th 1791 of Thos Norman, widr to Hannah Pain.

Baptisms of children as follows

There are 2 Martha's both born about same time, & I can find no burial for her, did she get done twice ?

Hello

There is a gaol record for a Thomas Norman in Odell who was sentenced to 6 months hard labour and a fine of 1 shilling in 1808 for burglary - and he was aged 71 at the time  ???

Thomas still had brown hair according to the gaol records    ;D

Could he be related to this family?   Could he have told a porky to his wife about his age?!  Because if he is the same Thomas Norman there seems to be about 10 years missing?

Unfortionately, the gaol records online do not have his town of birth [google: Bedford Gaol]
