Death of Zachariah Gait 1829

I'm trying to trace a death/burial of Zachariah Gait, possibly in London. He was born in Chewton Mendip, Somerset in 1800 and the gravestone there of his parents, erected in 1835,  gives the date of his death, but there is no entry in the Parish register, nor in that of Midsomer Norton where he lived c1820-5.
I think I've found his widow, Lydia in the 1841 Census, and possibly also his daughter, Phoebe, both in London. The surname  sometimes appears as Gote or Goad.
He died April 8 1829 and his occupation was butcher.
