             Thanks for the reply.I've now registered my surname interest.
     I am looking to recieve and share any knowledge of the Orridge family from the Notts/Leics area.
  If pushed to name an ancestor I would say my Great x4 Grandfather, William Orridge believed to have been born born in Wysall in 1760.I would love to know who his parents were and where they were born.

Hello

I am researching my great (x5) grandfather Ralph ORRIDGE who was a glass cutter, We have a record of him in business in Belfast in 1819, but do not know where he came from.  His wife Frances came from Wiggan (sic) and continued the business after Ralph's death till her own death (cholera) in 1834.  Any help gratefully received.

Do you know what his wife's maiden name was of roughly when they married?

No, don't have date of marriage. I assume around 1808 - 1809?
Daughter Anna Orridge -  1810 - 29.10.1857,  She married George Morris (1806 Newcastle Upon Tyne - 3.3.1876); Son George born 1813 - 5.2.1875 and Betsy (no details known)
