Hello Annie,

What years are you interested in and is there a particular Ryall person your interest lies with ?

Specifically I am looking for any information on the families of Henry Ryall, b.1812 in Montacute. That would include siblings, cousins, parents, children, etc. Thanks!

Thank you so very  much for pointing me towards the 1851 census. The Henry Ryall on Towns End was my gggrandfather.  I am now looking for his parents (haven't a clue as to their names or where they lived). Also any information on his children would be most welcome. (The son Richard went on to live and work in South Africa.)

Thank you so much. I 'claim' the children of Henry and Susan, however, who is Job? Might I assume that he is John in the 1851 census? Also, am missing a Rose and Ebenezer. Were all these children baptized in the Church of England? Richard's son was a Baptist minister. Again, much appreciation.

Look forward to hearing what you find. You are the greatest! Also, what happened to all the people who lived in Montacute in the 19the century. When I visited about 3 years ago I couldn't find any trace of them. Is there some written history of their exodus or the history of that period? I find it interesting that so many Ryalls were stone masons. I thought that Somerset was mostly agricultural. Lots of questions, I know. I live in America or would pop up to that area and really look around so forgive all this 'dependency'! Thanks!
