Do you know where the marriage took place?
Civil registration of Catholic marriages began in 1864 but from 1845 for Protestant marriages. If it was a Protestant marriage you could order the marriage certificate. It should list names and occupations of both fathers and residence of bride and groom at time of marriage but not where they were born (or where their parents were living), not their ages or not the names of their mothers.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Hi a agahowey

Thanks for your valued contribution
The Church (as I believe)was Drumbrallyroney Church of Ireland ?
I know that an extended family existed,as my grandfather spent many holidays in Ireland As I am learing to speculate as i search for his paternal/maternal  relations Lessons as advised by members like your self
Thanks again

Hi Joss,
There was a family of Weirs who lived in Dromore Street Rathfriland  up to the 1960s, and I know that they belonged to the Church of Ireland.
I will try and find out if any of this family still lives in the Rathfriland area.

  Cheers,    Sam.
