McNulty - Sligo to Lancashire
« on: Tuesday 28 December 04 18:43 GMT (UK) »
Looking for McNulty family ancestors who I believe came from Sligo. John McNulty (b.1853) was born in Sligo, his father was Hugh, a farmer. John married a Mary Cassidy (maybe also from Ireland but not certain) in 1872 in Blackburn, Lancashire. Mary's father was James, definitely born in Ireland, and a shoemaker.

Both McNulty and Cassidy families were living in Blackburn from c.1870.
McNulty, Cassidy, Entwistle, Robinson, Johnson, Caunce, Crawford, Lindsay, Webster, Anderton

Hi Mcnulty

Sorry we haven't been able to help you so far on this one.

Have you made any progress,  or do you have any further details that could help someone to find what you are looking for?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes

Also searching for a McNulty family.  John b. 1815 Bridget b. 1810, sons Thomas b. 1838 John b. 1842, Michael b. 1844 and Martin b. 1845, all in Ireland.  Family legend has it that they came from Mayo but there is no proof.  Also says that John was a shoemaker.  Ended up in KY in 1860.  Have searched ships lists for years and cannot find the family.  Any clue or hint appreciated.
