10th Essex Battalion

My Gt Uncle Roland Vine was in the 10th Essex in WW1 and was killed at Poelcappelle (3rd battle of Ypres) in October 1917. I obtained a copy of his medal card but this was limited in information. I have recently purchased a copy of the reprint of the book (With the 10th Essex in France) first published in 1924 and found it of great interest. I recommend it to anyone with relatives who served with the 10th, 227 Officers & 5274 Men who passed through the Battalion, Total killed or died of wounds 1103.
