Newcastle marriages - Bradley / Pringle
« on: Monday 05 November 07 13:49 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to establish/confirm parental details of Mary Bradley of Newcastle.

She was baptized 24/2/1799 at All Saints, Newcastle. And married George Slowther in the same church 2/12/1817.

Also:
Any marriage details of James Bradley and Magdelane Pringle. Likely date of around 1794, Newcastle or NBL.

Regards,
CB.

Here is the baptism of Mary Bradley in Newcastle All Saints

Mary,  born 12 Jan 1799 baptised 24 Feb 1799 illigitimate daughter of James Bradley, cooper, native of this chapel by Magdalene Pringle of Gateshead, singlewoman.

If they married it will have been after Feb 1799.  Are there any sibling that I could look up and see if there is more information?

Thanks Janis.
Other that her marriage to George and the possibility of her father being James. I have no further information. Probably not suprising given your research.
I have in my notes that she was sometimes listed as Mary Broadley.

Were there any parental details included on the marriage entry?

Thank you for your time Janis,
Chris.

I did not find a marriage entry only that the child was illigitimate and if they - James and Magdalene - married it would have been after that birth.
