COOKE - Westminster 1850-1860

Trying to find a Charles Cooke, bootmaker, father of John Cooke. John was born in Westminster in the mid 1850's - have not found any birth reference for him. All I have is John's marriage registration that lists his father as Charles Cooke, bootmaker. John Cooke married Harriet Goater in Winchester about 1878 - they are living in London on the 1881 Census with 2 sons. Harriet Goater was from Winchester.

I have found a Charles Cook, bootmaker living in Winchester on the 1881 Census but have not been able to connect John Cooke to him.

Would appreciate any help in tracking John Cooke and his parents and/or siblings.

Have had some response in regard to these Cooke's but any new information greatly appreciated. What I have has not been confirmed as truth yet.....

I now have John Cooke, born June Quarter 1856 Winchester, son of Charles Cooke & Eliza Pearce (?). I also have about 8 siblings for John.

Charles Cooke, born about 1824/26 Elsworth, Cambridge, son of a John Cooke & Elizabeth Holben. I have 4 siblings for Charles. I also have a possibility that John Cooke, the father, married 3 times - Elizabeth Holben, Frances Huckle or Neville and Elizabeth Bell.

John Cooke,born about 1801 (?) Elsworth, Cambridge; died June Quarter 1877 - age 76; Shoemaker.
Married - September 12, 1823 - EH
January 4, 1835 - FH or N
September Quarter 1850 - EB

That is about all I have
