Abbott maybe Brecon?

Hi how do I go about finding Moses Abbott ? was said to have been Killed on the Railway this  would have to be after ww1?as he served in the war ....
Moses was from Rhyl born there in 1882 to Elizabeth Roberts and Thomas Abbott..... unknown if they were married as I cant find a Certificate ..
Elizabeth def was a Roberts when she had a child Sarah Ellen 30th  sept 1872 in St Asaph Union  Workhouse,
  But according to her son Thomas Abbott who died in 1934 in Windsor Ontario her name was Elizabeth Hughes and his father Thomas Abbott..
any help appreciated

Thomas Abbott is 11 months old on the 1991 census

Birth certificate would give you his mother's maiden name

June quarter 1882
St Asaph 11b 368

In 1901 Elizabeth 48 (down as 'E')  is with Thomas 54, 'L'  (Lucy) 13, Thomas 11, Ann 9, Ernest 5.
Also with them is Edwin Hughes 52 wid, lodger, b Tremeirchion (which is in the area).
Maybe he is her brother - maybe not.

I have Moses birth cert 1882 St Asaph as you said  and his mother is Elizabeth Ann Roberts ,  father Thomas Abbott.
Ann was my Gran (  L ) Lily  her elder sister Ernest  her brother ,
but on the the death certificate of my  great Uncle Thomas  it was said  his Mother was Elizabeth Ann Hughes!!
When she  had an illigitimate child 1872 that was the name on the childs certificate.Roberts . but maybe she married in between the children  to a Hughes.

Who would have an Abbott for a rellie sighhhhhhhhhhh

I am sure  she had links to these Hughes some where,
 and I def know there were links to Brecon .and Moses was killled on the railway

Who registered the death? The information on the death certificates is only as good as the informant, (who obviously was not the son) who may well have got it wrong/made a mistake/be misinformed; anything.

  Myself I would forget the Hughes name, and go with Roberts.
