photo editing software

What software for photo editing is the best.
Love to try my hand at this and don't know if it is lack of skill or the software i am using .I have paintshop pro 9

The pros will tell you Adobe Photoshop is the best. I use Phoshop Elements.

Paintshop Pro is a perfectly good program and should give adequate results. Try http://www.pinoy7.com/

Paintshop Pro 9 is fine - I still use it for some things and it's far easier to use than Photoshop.

Take it slowly and follow the odd tutorial/guide. Just play around with the tools and see how you get on.  Don't expect too much straight away.
