Edward Jones-Emma Davies

Edward and Emma Jones can be found in the 1861 Census,living at Broughton Denbighshire with a young daughter Mary J who is given as 11 months old.See RG9/4286/20/34.This Edward Jones was born in Cefn Mawr in c 1839,and the Emma is an Emma Davies born in Baschurch Shropshire in 1830.Despite my best efforts I have been unable to find any Marriage for Edward and Emma,and would greatly welcome any help!

I searched earlier today, William but couldn't find anything on free BMD or the NWales BMD site. It might be that you have to search quarter by quarter on the full GRO index  :(

Thanks Gadget,,surely though it will be hard at that time to match them up?Paul I've  only found them further in 1891 in Rhosllanerchrugog,RG12/4612/73/4.

Hard on the eyes, William -try emma first. look around the quarters before the birth first. If you find an Emma in a likely place, just go and look to see if there was an Edward Jones with the same ref. I did find a poss, m. Oswestry RD but no Edward :(

It's hard tedious work but has to be done if there's no other way.

There's a William Henry Jones. Emma Davies Ruthin 1857.

Oh remembered that there was one in New Broughton (Chester) for Emma Davies but I didn't look at the full reference. I had callers.

There is one I'm looking at in the Oswestry District on the April Quarter of 1860.The trouble with it though is Emma Davies;6a Page 1502.Edward Jones 6a Page 1302?
