Suggestions on tracing non UK relatives
« on: Monday 12 November 07 21:49 GMT (UK) »
Hi, I'm very new to this and would welcome your advice.

My wife has managed to trace back a branch of my family (Paternal Grandmother) to a certain Conread Hoffman who was born in Germany in 1807.

Are there any German record sites that I can refer to?

Thank you in anticipation.

Hello White Pigeon

I'm not sure but I think there were only 3 Conrad Hoffman's in the UK.
1 in London and 2 Manchester, the 2 in Manchester are my Hoffman family.

The Conrad (born 1807) in London I have his naturalisation papers thinking he was my Conrad Hoffman (born 1811) Germany.
Please let me know I will give you the details.

Regards
Ann
