Anyone doing Research on Brambles

Looking for any info on Brambles arround 1840- 1860 Had a relative that deserted from the royal navy would like to find first name and date of desertion.  al b

Hi  Yes but haven't had much time to put in.  Acording to my grandpa his father was a Bramble he deserted from the Royal Navy should have been 1n the 1870 range and changed his name to Blenman witch was his Grand parents name Havent had much luck Must be something to it because can't find birth records for him under Blenman  Thanks for the re   Any light on the subject is greatly appreciated  al b

Hi,
You can do a search for naval service records on the Documents Online site at the National Archives. There are several Brambles listed in 1800's, so one of them may be your ancestor.  You can download his service record, which will give quite a lot of info about him.

Hi  You know what is kind of strange I get a note from Timothy Bramble stating he can help. I write back no re except sargie telling me where to look  been there and done that nothing there  This site used to be very helpful put seems a little slack Please get back on tract  al b ???
