Hi I am looking for information on Leeden's and Leeding's.  Any information would be greatly appreciated.  I am actually looking for information on Leeden's or Leeding's in the following places:

Huntingdon
Bluntisham
Somersham
Pidley
Old Hurst
Woodhurst
Wyton
Colne
Warsboy

I have been able to trace our tree back to the 1700's in this area.  I have number of people in our tree that I know were married, as well as where and roughly when but do not know the spouces.

Again any assistance would be greatley appreciated.

Austen

Hi Austen,
I've looked through the parish registers of Bluntisham, St Mary's and only found two references to Leedens.

John Stacey bac married Elizabeth Leeden sp botp. 28 Feb 1832.
Wits. William Benington, Bathsheba Lavender.

Elizabeth Leeden adult  dau of John and Elizabeth of Houghton, lab, now the wife of John Stacey, yeoman was baptised 1 July 1838.

Can't help with other parishes I'm afraid. If you want the children of John and Elizabeth, let me know ;D

I would like to add a request to this thread please.

I need a marriage in Hunts between 1794 and 1814 of an Alice (surname unknown) to a man with the surname Stevens, possibly but not certainly, John.  He was an ag. lab who became a soldier.

Hopefully around the Ramsey area.

Thanks,

Selina

I´ve popped over the border to Spain for a few days camping with my son. Back home Thursday, when normal Marriage Index service will be resumed.

Campsite has internet access, but I forgot to bring my microfiche with me!

Hi David,

Hope you are having a good trip!

I will be grateful if you will look for me when you get home and have time.

It would be extremely good to find that partiular marriage as it would open a new direct family line to me via Alice who gave birth to my illegimate ancestor (by another man) prior to her marriage with the Stevens chap.

Hi Selena

The only Stevens/Alice marriage in Hunts was in 1792 at Huntingdon All Saints & St John between William Stevens widower of Abbots Ripton and Alice Hammont

What was your illegitimate ancestor's name - surely that would have been his mother's name ??
