War Memorials Ironbridge, Little Wenlock & Coalbrookdale
« on: Sunday 18 November 07 15:13 GMT (UK) »
The IGca is a group of people who live in the Coalbrookdale and Ironbridge area of Shropshire, England. We all share an interest in the history of the Gorge, its people and its events.

www.igca.co.uk

A member of our group has been researching the family history of all the men recorded on the Coalbrookdale, Little Wenlock and Ironbridge War Memorials.

Over the past 18 months she has collected photographs and information regarding these men.

If anyone has any other photographs or anecdotal information on any of the soldiers recorded on the memorials, she would love to hear from you.

Arthur Pearce sadly died 19th April 1918 age 24 and is buried in LA Clytte Military Cemetery.

His brother Hubert Pearce died 6th September 1920 age 24, from the effects of gas inhalation and is buried in Broseley Cemetery.

They were the  sons of George and Ellen Pearce, Ironbridge.
