Kris ...another thing ..

In 1861 she is Mary Ann(ie) Eames and in 1871 she is Annie. There is a death for a Mary Annie Eames b c 1837 died 1879 , London City. I believe one of her girls was also Mary Annie.... will look more.

I also thought that maybe she had married prior to John Eames ...hopefully Baj's marriage cert will reveal more details tha we can work from ...

Hi kris ..

The family you found in 1841 in Somerset looks great ...but , like you said, does not go with the Wiet (sic)=Goodfellow marriage (1822)  as William and Mary would have been about 11 years old and getting married  :-\ ;D :o

ummmm ...... will look some more

Hi Deb,

Sorry for my delay, been working on something else. I did like the family I found also but I am going to wait on Baj and the info from the cert before I go any further. It took so long to get this far  ::) and I may be way off course. If father was William I would like to see that Blisland marriage checked. Goodfellow and all - it really did sound good. Guess until its checked there is a chance the date has been transcribed incorrectly  ::)

I have to get organised for a Chrissie Party this arve so will have to leave you to it. I thought it was interesting that John G in 1861 Marylebone had something to do with the building game also and living in the same place as Mary is living. Maybe Mary didn't know she was not born in St Austell same as other family members. Anyway enough theorizing for now I must away.  ;)

Cheers Kris  :D

Hi.Kris
AS requested here are the details from the marraige cert.

Mary Ann Wyatt- of full age-  spinster - 2 Lanton?Place - (Fathers name), -  William Robert  Wyatt - (occupation) -Bricklayer.

The marraige took place in The Parish of St. Pancras on the 12th Sept.1858.
The groom was John Edwards Eames.

Many Thanks to you Kris,  deb,  ellen  and others who have helped to try and solve my enquiry.
Baj.

Hi Baj,

Well now that does sound quite good for the family I found in 1841. The marriage I found sorry don't know where I was there. It is for John not William. I think I got sidetracked with wife the Mary Ann Goodfellow  ::)

There is this entry on the IGI

William Robert WYATT = Mary HODSON 10 Sep 1832 St James Paddington London. Perhaps they were not from Cornwall. Back to trying to find them in other censuses. They must be somewhere

Hi Guys

This one has me stumped !  :-\

Okay in 1871 I found a Thomas R Wyatt , b 1814 St Austell , living with his wife Isabella . I was wondering about the R as his middle name .

I did a search on IGI and found these entries .... I am not sure if they are our Wyatts .... but I thought I would mention them.

IGI;
These are all children of John Wyatt and Ann, christened in St Austell
(no particular order)

William Roberts Wyatt 26 Dec 1810
Elizabeth Wyatt 18 July 1802
Mary Wyatt 15 apr 1798
John Wyatt 9 June 1800
Ann Wyatt 27 dec 1795
Jane Wyatt 10 june 1805
Thomas Wyatt 26 dec 1810
Catherine Wyatt b Jan 1815, chr 26 mar 1819

Then I found this death:
Thomas Roberts Wyatt b c 1814 died dec q 1881, St Austell, Cornwall

Do you thinks the above William Roberts Wyatt could be William Robert Wyatt father of Mary ann Wyatt?

Hi again Baj and Deb,

Looks Good Deb  ;) Sorry Baj but it looks like neither Deb nor myself can find then in 1851 census (or most of them in 1861 census)  :'(

Here is a few more items of interest

Here is John and Ann (William's parents) marriage

WYATT John  = ROBERTS  An 27 Dec 1794 St Austell

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~staustell/

Looks like William's father John's death listed in West Briton News

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~wbritonad/

Nov 19 1841

At Mount Charles , St. Austell, on Tuesday last, Mr. John WYATT, mason, aged 71 years.

WYATT John  of Mt. Charles aged 71years buried 18 Nov 1841

WYATT John died Dec 1/4 1841 St Austell 9 3

Funny I can't see him in 1841 either.

But this looks like Ann

Mt Charles Village
St Austell

WHYATT Ann 70 Y

WYATT Ann died Jun 1/4 1845 St Austell 9 4

WYATT Ann of Carveth buried 13 May 1845 aged 74 years

Hi Baj! Found this dialogue through Google when researching "Stantell in Cornewall" when asking the same question as you! The dialogue was of great help so I've signed up and this is my first message! (Please forgive any novice errors!)

The key this is that Mary Ann Wyatt is my wife's great grandmother too, which would make you a 2nd cousin!

Hope we have further info on our trees which we can share!
Mike
