Hi Kevin,

Welcome to RootsChat  :)

Sorry I can't help with BMD but I've had a look at the 1851 IOM census and I see 2 possible boys:

One born ca. 1846 Rushen with mother Eliza, Sailor's wife. Tracing the family back to 1841, her husband is called Thomas ...

The other one was born ca. 1845 Castletown, living with widowed mother Ann. Back in 1841, Ann was married to a William, but his occupation was a butcher...

Not much help, am I  :P

Interestingly, I see that some of Ann's children are in Lancashire in 1861:

So we have in 1851
HO107/2526
Castletown, Malew, Isle of Man
4 Quay

Ann Beedon, head, wid, 40, Inn Keeper
Thomas, son, 16, Errand boy
Martha, dau, 12, scholar
Cathrina, dau, 10, scholar
Leaeh?, dau, 8, scholar
William, son, 6, scholar

(1841 shows a few more children, among which an Elizabeth age 9)

Martha age 22 and Elizabeth age 32 are at Chorlton upon Medlock, Lancashire (RG9/2879 107 33) in 1861.

Edit: 1841 also showed a daughter Ann born ca. 1837, who is in Lancashire as well in 1861 (a servant in Ardwick)
A Catherine Beedon age 19 born Isle of Man is also in service at West Derby

Out of curiosity, I have tried to trace the family back from 1881, hoping to find him with siblings.   Took me some time to find 1871! Just in case you don't have it:

1871
RG10/3789 15 24
Liverpool, Lancashire
Constance St 16

William Beaden, head, 25, Paper Ruler, b. Isle of Man
Madarra, wife, 22, b. Cheshire Higher Bebbington
William, son, 2, b. Lancs Liverpool

Excellent, Frances! Any chance the marriage cert says butcher instead of baker, Kevin?  :-\ I don't suppose the marriage witnesses are Beedons?

Can anyone see the other William Beedon on later census?  ???
