Ino - an abbreviation of what christian name?
« on: Saturday 24 November 07 16:56 GMT (UK) »
hi,
whilst searching the census for an ancestor i came across an industrial school for boys aged 7 - 15.
all their christian names were abbreviated on it.
i worked out most of them but 5 boys (including my possible ancestor) were named as Ino/Inos.
i found the census piece ancestry (no credits left for SP)  :(
any ideas?
thanks

The I is more than likely a J (Latin did not have I's), so it's John.
