Thank you for finding Matilda on the '51  :-*.

I knew her age was just a bit out on the '61 - typical woman  ;)

I will follow that up and have another check of the '41 using the Patterson and the other children for checking points.

perhaps it does say Opera Binder (i think thats the favourite) but is meant to read Operia meaning Workman / Woman Binder

Di, were we looing fro them in censu for you too? or do you have them?

I just found Matilda with both parents in the '41 and Steve found Matilda in the '51 so I now have the full set.  :D

Thanks for everyones help with this "interesting" occupation. It does appear that the family were "into" making/manufacturing/binding shoes so thanks for all suggestions.
