Bristol Records Look Up Wanted

If anyone can help with a parish record or other look up for Bristol I'd be much obliged.

The name is Thomas Ronchetti, born 'in the City of Bristol' , c 1778 as aged 16 on his enlistment to the 'First or East Devon Regiment of Militia', according according to his army discharge in 1829. 

I have evidence of him and his descendants in Exeter and beyond, but am hoping his Bristol parentage might provide a clue to the family's arrival from Italy.

Looks highly likely that this would be him - I have a ref to St  James in a census - are there any other family details that could help me trace the family back?

I've also posted on another thread to you about Thomas Ronchetti.

My wife's great grandmother was Emily Ronchetti and Emily's great grandfather was the Thomas Ronchetti you mention.  All we know of him is what is mentioned on the census records after 1840 where he is listed as a Chelsea Pensioner.  From this post of yours and one on another thread we have discovered a little more such as what unit he served in and when he was discharged from the army in 1829.  We would be grateful if you could explain some more of what you have discovered.  The Thomas Ronchetti we refer to married Mary Ann Gould and their son was Frederick Ronchetti who my wife is decended from.
