British community in Leghorn circa 1837

Looking for anything about the above especially Pate family who had world monopoly of import/export of Carrara marble in beginning of 19th century. They had links to USA and London also. Looking for name of company

Can't help you myself, but there are bapt/marriage/burial records of the British in Leghorn both at TNA in Kew and at the Guildhall Library in London, covering the period roughly 1784 to 1851.

You would probably find the Pate family in there, but perhaps it wouldn't identify the actual name of the company -- for that, you might want to try trade directories (the yellow pages of their day).
