Hello all, just wondered if anyone had any advice.I'm quite new to all this and am learning as I go I wondered if these directories would be of any benefit to me on my search, are they just a general summary of the counties or would they  contain 'personel ' info a bit like the census ?  :-X

Have a look at the following site and make up your own mind.  In general for ancestors who were in business you can find out small details from the directories but they all add to the background of your family.
