Hello Half Pint.
I read your post and wondered if you had all the info on Thomas and Rosannah BEVILL. They did have 9 children.
I have the baptisms, deaths and photos of the BEVILLs gravestones. (in fact all the Tow Law Gravestones) Do you want me to post the information on the board.

Adam

Hi Adam

That would be absolutely wonderful if you could.  Are you connected to them?

Hello Lin. No I am not connected to your family of BEVIL/BEVILL/BEVILLS I just have the information that may be of use to you.

Baptisms:- Rosanna Elizabeth born 8/Apr/1876 and baptised 29/Jun/1876. Sponsors Thomas and Margaret Smith.

Joannes Jacobus born 4/Apr/1877 and baptised 11/May1877. Sponsors Stephanus Hacket and Hannah Ward.

Robertus Gulielmus born 31/Jul/1881 and baptised 2/Aug/1881
Sponsors Thomas McGinn and Maria Kinsella.

Robertus Josephus born 1/May/1883 and baptised 15/May/1883
Sponsors Joannes Keogan and Maria Sherlock.

Robert Gulielmus born 13/Apr/1886 and baptised 26/May/1886
Sponsors James and Maria Murray.

Leo Carolus Henricus born 9/Aug/1887 and baptised 2/Feb/1888. Sponsors Joannes Donnely and Lucia Callan.

Georgius Edwardus Aloyisius born 25/Aug/1889 and baptised
9/May/1890. Sponsors Jacobus and Maria Hagan.

Ambrosius Vincenti born 8/Oct/1890 and baptised 14/Oct/1890
Sponsors Patricus McCann and Anna Morris.

The parents for the above baptisms were Thomas and Rosanna BEVILL and the maiden name was ROONEY.

Here are the deaths for Bevil:-
Thomas of Tow Law, infant died 10/June/1879.
Margaret of High st Tow Law age 47 died 7/Jan/1939.
Thomas of Tow Law age 71 died 1/Jul/1917.
Robertus of Tow Law, infant died 18/Aug/1881.
Robertus of Tow Law, infant died 4/Apr/1884.
Ambrosius Vincentus of Tow Law, infant died 30/Oct/1890.
Maria of Tow Law, infant died 19/May/1878.
Thomas of Tow Law, infant died 21/May/1880.
The death register does not give a lot of information. Its a shame it does not give parents.

Marriages:-
Michael MORGAN of Tow Law married Elizabeth BEVILL on the
18/May/1895. The parents (just dads ) were Patricus Morgan
and Joannes Bevill. the witnesses were Nicholas Crinnion and  Julia Morgan.

Thomas Hardy DIXON married Rosanna BEVILL on the 3/Aug/1929. Parents John Dixon and Thomas Bevill.
Witnesses were George Eward Bevill and Catherine Bevill?.

Graveston inscriptions:- I have some reservations about posting the inscriptions because the death dates are around the 1970's
Of course the birth dates of these people could be in some cases
be in the late 1800's. In case it may offend someone I will post them privately if you want them.

Adam

There were still Bevils living at Tow Law at least up the early 1990's some of them are mentioned in a letter from my late mother's cousin in Nottingham who was a sister of Fr Martin Cahill parish priest of Tow Law 1949 to 1970, though the Cahills and Bevils were not related, just friends.

Hi Adam

Many apologies for the delay in getting back to you but we have had a rather hectic weekend.

Thank you so much for all the information you have collated for me it is very much appreciated.  If you could post the later information to me privately I really would appreciate it and I can promise that it would not be shown anywhere and only held in my private filing.

Again many thanks

Regards
