Philip Vincent Birch - only survivor - where is he?
« on: Friday 30 November 07 19:07 GMT (UK) »
Nigel Harris has created a memorial for a WWII crash site in Edgecote Park, Banbury. The only person to survive was Sgt Philip Vincent Birch.

Mr Harris wants to get all relatives of the crew, and Sgt Birch, if he's still alive, to come to an anniversary of the crash. The only thing that is known about Sgt Birch was that he lived in Hampstead.

Anyone know of him?

Linda

I would guess the first thing to do is to look on the full death indexes (database from 1983) to see if there is a likely death for him.
Sorry I havent got full access, or I would have looked, but I am sure someone will try for you, if you havent either.
