Anybody have any Idea which force this uniform is from (possibly Staffordshire or Cheshire )

hard to tell from photo
don't know exactly when uk had a national fire service
some insurance companies employed their own fire fighters(1800's)
a plate was attached to a building showing that it was insured by such and
such a company(these are worth some money today)
but i'm led to believe that if a rival insurance companies fire fighters showed
up they would refuse to tackle the fire

but would have thought it all depends in which county he lived in at the time the photo was taken

do we have a full name for firefighter hammond(sepia watch )
if he is on census maybe we could narrow down date of photo
not too sure what info. was on other post
