during tha ad's on wdytya last night i'm sure ancestry was offering free 14 day trials. not sure if its just for us in oz though.

Ancestry always have free 14 day trial offer in which you give your credit card details and if you don't cancel before end of 14 days they process a 1 year membership from your credit card.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

there was also a thread on here a short while ago in which you got 7 days free with no card details, I used it

Yes, I got an email from them offering me a free 14 day trial and I've taken it up.  I don't think there are enough goodies there for me to keep it going for another year, though!

I'd suspect not, Ruskie!  I think they try to keep people to one free trial.  :( :(
