Hi Deb,
          young George is with his Grandmother Tamar Turton back in Cheadle.. I don't know when Tamar's husband John died either..         

Re 1871 Census - Debs post on page 1 about George not being with his mother....

Does anyone recall if it was confirmed that George is with Tamar? I can't find them....a transcription error???

Just to keep it on this thread - yes Toni, they are the only ones in the household. Also, John seems to have died before 1851? Tamar is a widow in 1851.
