Steve,
Thank you for comments about the picture, it ment climbing up the cemetry wall and getting dirty knees.
If you do fing any more Todds, Iwould be pleased to hear from you.
The son, James on the headstone, he died and was buried at sea, aged 25. I've been told through my mother, that he died while serving on the same vessel as his father, Captain James Todd. At the family home in the village, ROSARIO, there was a ship inside a glass case, that was displayed in the front room there, I have often wondered the name of the ship and if it had a link to the name of the house.
I was lucky enough to meet the present owner of the house and to be shown the two main rooms downstairs. However, the whole lot is due to be demolised to make way for a small developement of new houses. It was lucky that at the age of 54, that I did'nt delay going any longer. Two years ago, 2 men wearing cowboy hats and moustaches, came to have a look, they were Todd's from Canada, I believe, maybe my grandfathers brother, sons.
Here is a picture of ROSARIO, with my mother, Yvonne Mary Pritchard, nee Todd.
Regards,
Tarnwater.

Dear Brian

I came across your posting above when I was researching my late mother's family ... my mother was Sarah Jane Todd Crymble, daughter of James and Rosina (nee Todd) (not 'Rowena' by the way!) Crymble. Mum was born in Glyn, County Antrim in 1918. She sadly passed away aged 95 in 2013. I remember my great aunts Cissie and Adeline very well having met them many times as a child, and yes Adeline was very religious! Also remember my grandfather James. I have many photos of them plus also other members of the family, going back well into the last century. I have a beautiful photo portrait of my grandmother, Rosina, framed.

I'd be glad to share more if you want, best wishes, Geraldine

Hello Geraldine,
What a surprise, lovely to hear from you. My great  grandfather was John Todd b. 1891, brother of Rosina.
I live in Chester, and managed to visit the Glynn in 2007 with  my  mother who was born in the village.
I managed to find Martin and Stewart Todd in Canada, sons of Robert 'Bertie' Todd, and they sent me a family group picture ofJames and Sarah Todd with several of their children, taken around 1904.
If you reply to this post, I will then be able to send a personal message with my e mai address.
Regards,
Brian
