Richard Proctor Clifford - Westmorland

I wonder if anyone can look up the following please:

Richard Proctor Clifford born in Appleby around 1789. Any parental details available?

He is then thought to have married Jane Elliot in 1812 and the banns were thought to have been read in April 1812 (12th, 19th and 26th) at Brampton Church, Westmorland but without any marriage details apparently being recorded.

There is a child recorded in 1813 - Joseph Clifford.

I am now trying to discover if Brampton is in Cumberland rather than Westmorland !

If that is the case I will have to re-post !

I would appreciate any advice on this please.

Brampton was in Cumberland, Now Cumbria.
Church records for Brampton are at the 
Carlisle office of the Cumbria Archive Service
