You might be better off, posting this onto the Oxfordshire board.   Stanford in the Vale is one of the North Berkshire parishes that is now in Oxfordshire.   The OFHS have transcribed the PRs.

Hi Abiam,
Get thee to the record office. It is all waiting for you.
Stanford in the Vale.
WISE FAMILY.
Baptisms in 1706, 1706, 1710, 1713, 1715, 1718, 1721, 1778, 1779 & 1781.
Marriages in 1597, 1599, 1658, 1705, 1732, 1733, 1742, 1747, 1754,1778, 1783 & 1904
Burials in 1722 (2), 1764, 1765, 1778, 1780 (2) & 1798.
Sorry that I didn't have time to get any more information. If getting to Oxford or Reading R.O.'s is too difficult there is always the prospect of a short period at the Society of Genealogists. You might even get the job  done in an hour using volumes B/R29 & 56.
Good luck. Toby.

Hello Toby,

Thank you for your message and all those dates!  I have bad news and good news!  The bad - Stanford in the Vale is out of the loop, the good news is I have had a windfall of information which comes in the form of letters about the Wise family.  The main person I wanted to find was George Wise and we have him as Baptised 2 March 1778 at Fawley Berkshire.

I do appreciate your help and when I get further back we may yet find some in S in the Vale but I still wouldn't be able to get their names as I am in Spain.  I shall print the information and keep it in case,

Thank you again,
Abiam

Just the one Wise burial at Fawley, as per the Berkshire Burial Index.

George Wise, buried 23 September 1818, age 73, abode South Fawley.

Unfortunately Stanford in the Vale is not included in the BBI.
