Need help finding a death certificate

Hi There,
I'm stuck on finding my grandfathers death certificate now. He was born 3 march 1879 in O'Dell Bedfordshire and died feb1969 in Wellingborough. I can't seem to find his death certificate though on Ancestry. Can someone help

Hi John, Thanks for that. I checked the freeBMD but nothing came up. I also checked IGI and Ancestry. I must be doing something wrong. Was it the free MD were you found it?
I know that i miss out on so much because i don't know how to fully use things! need some lessons.

Lisa,   No it was from the full index. Ancestry has the Full BMD index as well as the Partial FreeBMD index (which is the same info that you get from www.FreeBMD.org.uk )

now if you want lessons .... I am available....

Lisa,    I dont think I was too serious when I offered these lessons;  but I'm game if you are !     When I said I was available I thought I was on the other site I frequent - the one with the orange tab that appears when you call up the Genes Reunited site.

I'm not sure where you live, but if you are near Bedford, you'll find me at the Beds Family History Society - meetings on first Friday of the month - next is on March 7th.
