Hi Lorraine,

There is one that I know of:

John Wallace died 28th August 1888 age 19 (in his 20th year).

His parents were William & Jeanie Wallace nee Phillips.

Hi there,
Would anyone know if there is anyway of getting info on the Church Yard at Gartsherrie where according to a death record my GGgrandmother is buried.
Her name is Elizabeth Sneddon and she died 21/10/1860. I cant make out the name of the place she died. It looks like Whitchurchland Sunnyside????? and she is buried in the churchyard at Gartsherrie.
Any help would be much appreciated
Thank you
Mariac

Hi
Elizabeth Sneddon nee Wyper was my GGGgrandmother.  The name of the place she died I think is "??Gilchrist's land, Sunnyside". Could be Mr Gilchrist's land.
I am having great difficulty in tracing back any further on her mother and father side.  Any ideas?
I am descended through her son Robert Sneddon.
Any help would be appreciated.

What were the names of her parents, according to her death certificate?
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Her father is listed as David Wyper (deceased) and Christina Wyper maiden name Irons. Informant was James Gray, Stepfather, Braehead Colliery.

I have a baptism for Elizabeth (I believe) at Crossford, Lesmahagow.
Elisabeth Weiper
"David Weiper and Christian Iron had a natural child born 29 Dec 1828, baptized 29 Aug."

Hi there Anoif,
Yes I have the same information as you have regarding Elizabeth. Christinas name is spelt in various ways. I could not find a marriage for her to David or to James Gray but Christina is in the 1851 census with James listed as Christina Arnn and in the 1861 census as Christina Gray.
Christinas birth is listed on census as 1809 and I query if the birth of Christian Aerns born 30 March 1809 to Alexander Aerns and Elizabeth Dyet is her. Would be interested in your thoughts.
Regards
Mariac

Hi Mariac
Yes I think there could be a chance as you say name spellings and soundings are very different for the same people.
I will look into it and see if it adds up.

Hi there,

I wonder if anyone has a record for David Frame (died 1899) here? I have a newspaper clipping that says he was. My great great great great grandfather!

Many thanks,
Andrew
