Hello Pels & Janis,

Wow! Thankyou both for being able to provide such wonderful information. 

A mystery indeed. Where do the three Hindmarsh children: William (b 1844), Jane  (b 1847) and Walter (b 1850) appear in 1861/1871 Census? Or should I post as a separate query? I was wondering if the family might be in the same place at the same time thus confirming the marriage of Elizabeth Gledson to Walter Hindmarsh. Never expected this query to be so involved. Thankyou again.

Hi Printer,

To be quite honest I'm not at all convinced about that marriage for Walter and Elizabeth .. the only reason I posted it was because it was there and to let you see it? What on earth would they be doing in Cardiff and years after the children were born? The census details don't convince me either I'm afraid.

It might be advisable to start another thread and hopefully someone might be of more use than me - I've spent so long looking, now I'm confusing myself .. ..

The Hindmarsh children in 1851 are indexed as Hendmasth?
