Thomas was my gt.gt.gtGrandfather andI,ve always believed that the family belonged to Sunderland;however I've just found out that hisDaughter Catherine's (b1810 Sunderland)baptism record states that Thomas was a Mariner and was a native of Wales.
I have plenty of information on his descendants but know nothing about him ;the only thing that might ring a bell is the fact that somewhere in the past there was a "Privateer" in the family.
Any suggestions as to where I might more information on this aspect would be very well received.
