Hello all!

Wow  ;)  I leave you alone for a few hours and you come up with all this...thank you so much!

Interesting find, Lesanne, of Catherine LENNON in the hospital - a very big coincidence if it is just a coincidence.

And Toni - you've been working hard!  All those Cassidys in the CI...although I suppose it's a fairly common name.  I hope there's a Cornwall connection too!  THat would make life a bit easier!  ;D

I haven't looked at the 1841/51 Ireland abstracts - didn't know they existed, actually  :-\  Where would I find them?

THank you all, looking forward to seeing what comes next!

Prue x

i cant work out how to search the BMD for the Channel Islands is there one or is it contained in the England / Wales one ?

Catherine it would seem died after 1861 either that or she moved away (which i doubt for a woman of her age then)

Thomas her husband seemd to have served in an army and is registered as a chelsea pensioner in 1851, and in 1861 Catherine is with another retired army person, - there must be records of his service somewhere

Catherine and Thomas Children seem to have married between 1851 & 1861
will search the census for them under there married names.

I am not sure now if Catherine is Penhale or Lennon or Simmons,
(Penhale would suit me best)
