Hi Allan,
Do you have any info on Roderick's forebears? I have a Janet Stewart b c1750-1760 who married my gggg-grandfather John MacKenzie who was a fisher in the same general area (see my post 'MacKenzies from Fodderty and Ullapool').
Cheers

Hi Darryl
the only thing i have on that side of the family is Roderick Stewart married Chirsty Mackenzie is this the same Mackenzie's to connect with yours i wonder?
according to my information Chirsty was born in Lochbroom in 1801, bit i have been struggling to get anything further back than them at the moment but yours might be a possiblity as i have have come across Fodderty on numerous occasions but could not link it so i think its worth investigating
