stamullen census look up

my gt gt grandfather was baptised 2 feb 1868. james smyth
mother is catherine bones. father patrick smyth. @ st patricks church stamullen
i have hit a complete brick wall in tracing this family would anyone have the means of looking them up on the 1871 census, i would like to find an address and other brothers and sisters, or any other family members.

short of visiting i have no other ideas

any help would be much appreciated

First complete census for all Ireland is 1901. Earlier ones were destroyed except for a few fragments for various counties/areas.
1866-1873 Stamullen emigrants with parish records are in National Library, Dublin according to Tracing Your Irish Ancestors by John Grenham.

i think we share Patrick Smyth and Catherine Bones as ancestors in my case through their son Peter Smyth baptised 18th October 1850 at St Mary's Drogheda. on a recent trip to Dublin i also located baptisms for John 2/4/1860, Nich 17/8/1862 Francis/Frank 23/4/1865, James or Jas on the 2/11/1868 all of these were in Stalmullen. the Meath heritage centre might be able to provide you with more information to push the family backwards, perhaps a marriage for Patrick and Catherine.
